What a Year it was

What do you say after a year like 2020? What a ride it has been.
If I had to choose just five words to describe the year, I would probably use unexpected, exciting, transforming, illuminating and gratifying.
My biggest take-out, from a business perspective has been the incredible value of relationships. With that in mind we would like to take this opportunity to thank our clients for their valuable support, ensuring we could continue playing our role in sharing industry information and connecting people.
At COVER, we are fortunate to have been operating as a virtual business since 2010, which put us in a perfect position to assist our clients in taking advantage of the opportunities created by the new environment. We took advantage of several new opportunities presented by the changing environment:
Our innovative new WebMag version of COVER, increased our digital magazine readership by 4000 to 6000 readers per month. It has two specific aims in mind:
- A much improved reading experience for the subscriber: An alternative to the more common digital reading platforms, with optimized browsing and easy social media sharing.
- Advertising opportunities aimed at calls to action. During the past eight months we have already had very positive feedback from various clients.
In line with client needs for holistic brand building, marketing and public relations exposure, we broadened our package offerings, leading to several clients taking advantage of a wide range of channels, platforms and mediums to achieve the desired exposure results.
2021 here we come: Kicking of the year
The Insurance Innovation Journey: An exciting series of seminars and masterclasses aimed at assisting clients to improve the effectiveness of their innovation efforts, especially in the current digitalization environment
African Insurance Spotlight: The starting point for any digitalization journey is analysis and comprehensive understanding of the industry environment. In this series we will go from country to country, exploring all the various factors that informs the digitalization strategy.
Insurtech Conference: Webinars are convenient but nothing beats the excitement of networking in a face to face environment. In May2021 we will be hosting a unique hybrid conference, specifically aimed at combining effective networking within a practical knowledge sharing environment.
